CC Paschal is a Peabody Award-winning audio journalist and artist who creates immersive, interdisciplinary storytelling experiences.
CC recently served as the visiting professor of Radio and Podcasting at Maine College of Art & Design in Portland, Maine where they taught and redeveloped the curriculum of the the Salt Workshop graduate certificate program from the fall of 2021 to the spring of 2023.
Previously, CC was the founding series editor of NPR’s acclaimed investigative music series Louder than a Riot, as well as Malcom Gladwell’s Broken Record. They were the lead producer on Gimlet Media’s Uncivil, which won a Peabody Award in 2018.
CC began their career in local independent and public media in upstate NY and Albuquerque NM, before making their way to NPR in DC as a Morning Edition intern—and quickly production assistant—to help cover the 2012 Presidential Election (and as it turns out, quite a few other things…)
They graduated Hamilton College in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and Philosophy.
